Leper
If everything was below me
But nothing beneath me
It's only because the world
Is upside down
From here things are backward
That were never meant to be forward
The bed in the corner
The motion of the fan
His life is a stasis
But it feels like an oasis
Where the only thing that grows
Is a disinclination
For anything like movement
Any form of judgement
I can't believe
I'll get him to leave
But I can't see the scene
Or be enough to relieve him
I'm standing on glass
Around a light that's glown down
Any time there's motion
It's not in this direction
Any slight connection
Produces no friction
