To Be Taught, If Fortunate

Andrew Fredrickson

You only see when things are darkest
No matter the question the rite or the line

The simplicity of doing nothing
Is burning the air from which the flames will breathe

In which shard of infinity is time not so disposable?

We reach from within entrails of spirits beyond reach

(To whisper long)
"I feel the parting dream has returned"

Let it drown
Stealing night's fire
Do as if time is turning Earth

All I've learned comes with an eraser
We all find a reason

Life - can't take back
Only thus will doom
Know lowly heights persist so

They'll drink, they'll feast on it
Distilling hate from dirt
They'll suffer the ground's legion

Reach from night's long claw

Now that you've felt yourself floating
Break the root undying
Far from lone self-loathing
But such failure weighs so heavy

Not only must you abate
Skies will wane

Eyes fall

The offer of doubt
Inhale it now

It's the thought always sowing in heart
It's not that grating given these eyes
It's all the thought slowly breaking things down

Lesion - bleed from your hollow heart
Lesion - carry the serpent to your door
Lesion - pay for your sins falling down
To wade I can't be part of this

You only call when things are hopeless
As light as running from the times truth
Screamed this isn't what they meant by breathing

So in which shard of infinity is time not so disposable?

The rite of urgency

It's the thought slowly killing me inside
By rights it's a long way to turn from paltry danger

Blinded by this chaos
Igniting chaos in the dark

Breathe in from the memory
Joined in the echo
