Paltry threads, unraveling in the tempest
“Carefully observe all the savage gallows you are spared”
Icy rain, suffocating viscous gravel
“Further still we must travel through the penance of the bared”
Flaming soil, prophesying humbling exile
“Temperatures will fall, harmonizing with the ebbing dawn”
Vicious rot, chaos rending salt and forests
“Chronic winter thrall, divine arrest at the denouement”
Color drains from my porcelain complexion, humor drawn
Pulsing clots, boiling hot, tumors like drumming carillon
Promised cruelty, incapacitating rivet lock
Amnesty futile, rat caught in the talons of the hawk
Stand in awe of his majesty
Behold the emperor of naught
Peering down at the behemoth
Frightening though his claws are
I take comfort, momentarily
His grip cannot reach this far
Trapped in frozen lamentation
