Mary’s Heart
Mary's heart just isn't working like it should
She don't feel it she don't care
In the summer she works part time at the church
She don't hear the bells no more
And she's got it figured out alone
And she left her makeup bag at home
It's her favorite place she's ever known
But she can't stop acting like she's grown
Mary's heart broke in the middle of the night
She was crying in the loft
No one heard her, no onе knew where shе had gone
She don't know what she was doing that was wrong
In the winter she can't be alone
She ain't gonna make it through the cold
Mary called her parents on the phone
They were sliding off the road
